The Navy Golf Club has registered status with New Zealand Golf Association allowing all members to hold recognised New Zealand Handicaps.
We have a Memorandum of Understanding with Waitemata Golf Club allowing use of their course on Wednesday afternoons and for special events. Dedicated tee times are available for RNZNGS Members at a discounted rate.
There are also long standing affiliations with RNZAF, Waitakere and Pupuke Golf clubs with home and away series played throughout the year.
During the year numerous trophies are contested. These include Navy and Inter-ship champs, individual stroke and match play, team match play, officers, ratings and civilian championships as well as a variety of weekly events including stableford, par, 4BBB and Russian Stableford. There is also an ongoing eclectic competition that runs throughout the year.
The year starts after Waitangi day and closes in early December. The Navy Golf team is selected after Navy Champs and competes in the four day inter-services championship hosted alternately by the Navy, Army and Air Force.
For only $60 a year for Auckland based players and $35 for personnel outside Auckland players have full membership rights. This includes NZGA handicap, discounted green fees (currently $25) and the ability to claim for generous coaching rebates and day trips or weekends away as arranged during the year.
