Being part of a military organisation is not all about hard-out physical training. Our bases and ships have sports and recreational facilities where you can work out in your own time, relax or play a game of touch with your mates. We can even provide your own personal trainer!
Sports facilities include a swimming pool, netball courts, tennis courts, a sports complex, sports fields, gymnasiums, and a rock-climbing wall. Sports clubs use these facilities for events, training and competitions. Your friends and family are encouraged to get involved too.
The Devonport naval base is home to numerous sports and recreation facilities including the Ngataringa Sports Complex, gyms, heated pool and Marae.
