The RNZN Sailing Club is open to all Navy and civilian NZDF personnel, including families. There is a Club Room in South Yard next to the NATC dinghy sailing facility.
We use the Navies three Chico 40 yachts to compete in a wide variety of sailing events from family cruises, casual harbour races to serious offshore races such as Round White Island. We also use the Crown and X 3 dinghies similarly. Members with their own boats also join in.
We use the STC to compete in a range of races with other clubs in Auckland and do major events such as the Coastal Classic, Auckland Tauranga race and Bay of Island Sailing Week.
Sailing events occur all year round but the majority are in the summer months.
Membership fees vary between service and civilian and individual or family, starting at $25 for individual and $35 for family.
