The Navy Football Club, RNZNAFC, is open to all Navy and civilian personnel. The club is based at the RNZN Ngataringa Bay sports complex and offers coaching, training and match practice.
The club enjoys a strong affiliation with North Shore United AFC and teams play in the United Soccer 1 Federation governed by New Zealand Football.
The club also has a strong presence in the RNZN Inter-Services teams both on the players' bench and on the refereeing, coaching and managerial staff.
Further opportunities available to RNZN representatives arise within NZDF Football.
The club currently has 3 teams entered in the US1 North Shore/Waitakere/Rodney zone competition. Two men’s teams play in third and sixth division respectively and a woman’s team play in second division.
A strong naval affiliation with the Chatham Cup is maintained by regular entry into NZF’s premier knockout competition.
The season typically runs from early April to September and team training/selection begins in February.
Due to the nature of Naval ship movements, a tiered fee structure is employed.
