Training

Every person who joins the Royal New Zealand Navy must complete an initial training programme. Depending on whether you are joining as an Officer or Sailor, will determine which training programme you start on.

When you start your initial training you are essentially starting your first day of work; and are paid accordingly.

Initial training can be one of the most challenging experiences you will face, but can also be one of the most rewarding. The Navy's core values; courage, commitment and comradeship will help you through.
